Frequently Asked Questions.

Both wood-fired and electric saunas have their benefits. A wood-fired sauna offers a traditional experience with a lovely heat but requires more maintenance. Electric saunas are more convenient and are the most popular option in the UK.

Amber Hot Tubs provides saunas in various sizes, including:

  • 1.67m x 2.15m x 2.07m
  • 2.07m x 2.15m
  • 2.57m x 2.15m
  • 2.87m x 2.15m

Custom sizes are also available.

Costs vary based on the type of wood, quality of manufacturing, and size of the sauna. While cheaper options may be available, they often do not offer the same long-term value.

Running a wood-fired sauna costs around £10 per session, while electric saunas typically cost around £6 per session, depending on your energy supplier.

Ensure you have a proper base, ideally concrete, and a power source. Depending on the sauna, a 13-amp or 3-phase connection may be required. An electrician is also necessary for installation.

Amber Hot Tubs generally estimates a 4-6 week turnaround time, as they manufacture and often have products in stock.

Amber Hot Tubs provides a 24-month product warranty, which is double the industry standard.

You can choose to install the sauna yourself with a flat-pack option or opt for Amber Hot Tubs’ installation service, which costs around £1,500+VAT. In some cases, a crane can be used, reducing costs to around £600.

Amber Hot Tubs does not currently offer finance options, but they accept all major credit cards and payment platforms.

Using kiln-dried logs minimises smoke. Damp wood can create more smoke, so it’s important to use the right materials and never leave the fire unattended.

Yes, ideally, the sauna should be treated annually. Amber Hot Tubs offers a high-quality treatment option at £120 for a 5-litre tub.

An annual service is recommended to ensure the sauna's longevity and quality. Amber Hot Tubs offers this service for £299+VAT.
